Our commitment to protecting vulnerable species in the Andean region, especially our Andean bear, has a lot to do with the rural communities that live in bear territory..
El Oso Andino u Oso Frontino, una de las especies más valiosas de nuestra
Empowering communities to coexist sustainably with the environment, as well as promoting a friendly social vision, are key actions for the survival of the species.
That is why our efforts are directed toward three key objectives, such as:
Supporting and guiding communities in the sustainable management of livestock, which is their main source of income and the main cause of the bear-human conflict in the Venezuelan páramos;
Controlling introduced species such as feral dogs, one of the main causes of the decline of wild species; and Studying bear habitat use, which helps us define planning, management, and land use proposals.
With your contribution, you are supporting a pioneering project in Venezuela that has achieved concrete results through the rehabilitation and release of bears into the wild, as well as supporting rural communities in their process of adapting to sustainable progress.

This project has an annual cost of $7,000 and an estimated five years to generate measurable results in the future. If you are an animal lover and want to support our efforts to protect wildlife, now is the time to make a difference. Help us move forward; together we can do it.
